JUNCTION CITY, Kan. (WIBW) - Two people were taken to an area hospital after the motorcycles they were riding collided Tuesday evening in Geary County, authorities said.

The crash was reported at 7:37 p.m. Tuesday on US-77 highway, about 2 miles north of Junction City.

According to the Geary County Sheriff’s Office, Austin N. Davis, of Manhattan, was traveling northbound on US 77 on his black 2023 Yamaha motorcycle and began to turn into BJ’s convenience store when the bike was struck by a 2020 Triumph motorcycle ridden by Tristan G. Baca, of Fort Riley.

Both riders sustained injuries and were transported to the emergency department of Stormont Vail Flint Hills hospital in Junction City for treatment, officials said.
