Drivers have been warned about the risk of playing a traditional game in their car which could leave them with a £1,000 fine. Many people have played the popular game of 'I Spy' when taking a road trip.

It' sees one person choose an object within their vision and reveal it only by the first letter, while everyone else has to guess what it is. Families will have played it countless times whilst driving to holiday on the motorway.

But motorway experts at Hippo Leasing have warned unsuspecting drivers of that playing this game could carry a £1,000 fine, denting the joy of any family road trip. Explaining how a fine would work, Hippo Leasing says that the driver of the car should not get involved in these games whilst the vehicle is moving.

"Taking your eyes off the road to participate in the game could lead to losing attention of the traffic and road ahead, or worse, losing control of the vehicle entirely," said a spokesperson. "Failure to have proper control of the vehicle or full view of the road and traffic ahead carries a £1,000 fine and three points on your license."
