Mississippi Matrix Volleyball hosts signing day

Players put pen to paper to continue their athletic careers

Over the weekend, Mississippi Matrix Volleyball hosted a signing day for their athletes.

Several Matrix players put pen to paper to continue their academic and athletic careers at the next level. Those athletes include:

Lyde “Izzi” Barnes: Jones College

Malorie Gaughf: MGCCC

Alissa Menefee: Enterprise State

Kinsley Jean Stegall: PRCC

Lila Turner: MGCCC

Ava Davis: Southwest Mississippi CC

Mariah Hammond: MGCCC

Tatum Young: Alabama State

These girls, altogether, brought home some hardware in their final season right here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Those include back-to-back Gulf Coast Tournament Championships, Mardi Gras Volleyball Champions and more.

Some of these players spoke to WXXV on what this means to them and the important role Matrix played in helping them achieve their goals.
