Motorcycle crash early Friday near Moberly leaves Higbee man injured

A Higbee man was seriously injured early morning hours of Friday when his motorcycle ran off the road in Randolph County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 12:20 a.m. on Friday, May 9, 2025, on Highway A, three miles south of Moberly. A 2021 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was traveling southbound when it went off the roadway. The rider was ejected.

The driver, a 39-year-old man from Higbee, was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. He sustained serious injuries and was transported by Randolph County Ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia.

The motorcycle was extensively damaged and towed from the scene by Prathers.

The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, Randolph County Ambulance, and Higbee Rural Fire assisted at the scene.
