Two dead after motorcycles crash into each other near Twin Falls

The following is a news release from Idaho State Police.
TWIN FALLS — Idaho State Police is investigating a two-motorcycle fatal crash that occurred at 7:18 p.m. on May 7 on eastbound SH74 at Sommers Street, south of Twin Falls.
A 23-year-old male from Twin Falls was driving eastbound on SH74 at Sommers Street on a 2005 Yamaha Motorcycle. The Yamaha was attempting to make a left-hand turn onto Sommers Street when it collided with a 2024 KTM motorcycle driving eastbound on SH74.
The KTM was driven by a 25-year-old male from Buhl. Both drivers were wearing helmets. Both drivers succumbed to their injuries at the scene of the crash.
The roadway was blocked for approximately three hours to allow emergency services to assist those involved.
Idaho State Police were assisted by Twin Falls County Sherriff, Twin Falls Fire Department, Magic Valley Paramedics, Air St. Luke’s, and Classic Air.
This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
