MONONGALIA COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) โ A three-vehicle crash on Grafton Road left one person dead and several others injured on April 30, according to the Monongalia County Sheriffโs Office.
Deputies responded to the scene around 6:00 p.m. in the 2500 block of Grafton Road.
Investigators say a 2003 Mercury Mountaineer, driven by Chelsea Deziray Johnson of Uniontown, was heading northbound when it crossed the center line into the southbound lane.
The Mountaineer first struck the rear of a southbound 2020 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by Brian Livengood of Reedsville, causing the motorcycle to crash.
The vehicle then collided head-on with a 2017 Ford F-250 driven by Jerry Robinson of Barbour County. Michael Mitchell, also of Barbour County, was a passenger in the truck.
Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene.
Livengood suffered serious injuries and remains in the Intensive Care Unit at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
Robinson and Mitchell were also taken to Ruby Memorial with what authorities described as minor or non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
Authorities are asking anyone with information or video footage of the incident to contact the Monongalia County Sheriffโs Office at 304-291-7260.
