Suzuki India launches OBD-2B compliant Avenis and Burgman scooters

Suzuki Motorcycle India (SMI) has launched OBD-2B- compliant versions of its Avenis and Burgman series scooters, marking the full compliance of its entire two-wheeler portfolio with the latest emission norms.

The OBD-2B norms are the updated BS-6 phase 2 emission standards for two-wheelers in India, which require real-time monitoring of vehicle emissions and notification of potential issues to the rider.

The OBD-2B compliant Suzuki Avenis is priced at Rs 93,200 (ex-showroom Delhi), while the Burgman Street is priced at Rs 95,800 (ex-showroom Delhi).

Both the updated OBD-2B compliant Suzuki Avenis and Burgman series are available at all Suzuki Motorcycle India dealerships across India.

Suzuki Avenis

The Suzuki Avenis now comes in a special edition featuring a metallic matte black no. 2 / matte Titanium Silver colour scheme. This new colour combination enhances the scooter's bold and sporty aesthetics.

The scooter is equipped with an OBD-2B compliant, all-aluminum, 4-stroke, single-cylinder 124.3cc engine. This engine offers a cleaner and more efficient ride while retaining the scooter's signature instant pickup and agile handling.

Suzuki Burgman series

The Suzuki Burgman series is powered by an all-aluminum 4-stroke, single-cylinder 124cc engine. The Burgman Street, equipped with Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) technology, delivers 8.7 PS of power at 6,750 rpm and 10 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm.

The Burgman Street EX features the Suzuki Eco Performance Alpha (SEP-α) engine technology, which includes Engine Auto Stop-Start (EASS) and Silent Starter System. It generates 8.6 Ps of power at 6,500 rpm and 10 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. The Burgman Street EX also boasts a 12-inch rear wheel, enhancing its overall look and providing a wider and more luxurious feel.

The Burgman Street is offered in two variants: Standard Edition and Ride Connect.

The Burgman Street EX is available at a starting price of Rs 1,16,200 (ex-showroom Delhi). It comes in three color options: metallic matte stellar blue (New), metallic matte black no 2, and metallic royal bronze.
