Macomb motorcyclist dies after striking deer in McDonough County

A motorcyclist died after striking a deer in McDonough County on Wednesday afternoon.
According to Illinois State Police, Michael A. Hott, 50 of Macomb, Illinois was traveling westbound on 1500 North just west of 1000 East when a deer ran out in front of his Blue Harley Davidson.
Hott struck the deer and was ejected from the motorcycle.
