Motorcyclist dies after crashing into vehicle
A motorcyclist is dead after police said he crashed into a truck at Central Avenue and Wyoming Boulevard Wednesday. Albuquerque Police Officer Simon Drobik said the man was spotted near Zuni Road and San Pedro Drive on a motorcycle that didn’t have a license plate. Witnesses said he then took off at a high speed and that’s when he crashed into the truck that a family was in. The family is shaken up but no one was injured.Police said the motorcyclist wasn’t wearing a helmet and died on scene. It’s unclear if the motorcycle was stolen. “It’s a tragic scene. Someone is deceased because of their actions and going 100 mph on Central,” Drobik said. Drobik also confirmed police were never in a pursuit with the man.Live from the field:
