Gerard Butler is recovering from his injuries after getting into a motorcycle accident in Los Angeles last week.

Reports about the incident only surfaced online on Monday after the actor’s rep confirmed to People that his client is fine. According to TMZ, “The Ugly Truth” actor crashed his motorcycle after being run off the road by a car. He suffered from minor cuts and bruises and was immediately brought to a nearby hospital. Luckily, the 47-year-old actor did not break any of his bones.

Meanwhile, this is not the first time that Butler was involved in an accident. In 2011, the actor was rescued following a surfing accident in Northern California. At that time, he was pulled underwater and dragged over a rocky reef by a large set of waves while filming for “Of Men and Mavericks.” He was immediately brought to the hospital, but was not severely injured.

Following the incident, Butler appeared on “The Graham Norton Show,” where he admitted to wanting to return to set and surfing after the accident. “I was going to back that day. I was actually in the ambulance and wanted to go back, which was a little crazy, but it’s pretty addictive. It was maybe one of the few times that reports were not exaggerated. It was a pretty close call,” he said.

During his appearance on “Late Night With Seth Meyers” last week, Butler confessed to being a daredevil. He even revealed that he injected himself with bee venom twice. “I don’t know what I was thinking,” he said.

After experiencing painful inflammation, his nutritionist decided to give him a shot in his arm that contained about 2.3 bee stings. “So he gives me another ten. Basically 23 bee stings,” he said. But he just suffered from an ever worse allergic reaction.

Luckily, the actor once again survived the incident. Otherwise, he said that he could’ve died. “I decided a few days later, ‘maybe it wasn’t an allergic reaction, maybe I just took too much,’” he recalled.
