NHP identifies man who died in motorcycle crash on US-50 at Spooner Summit

The Nevada Highway Patrol has a identified the man who died in a motorcycle crash on eastbound Highway 50, approximately one mile east of Spooner Summit on Saturday, Sept. 30 as a 19-year-old California man.

According to the NHP, preliminary investigation indicates that Justine A. Breese of Pollack Pines was on a black 2008 Kawasaki motorcycle traveling eastbound on U.S. 50 when he lost control of the motorcycle causing the Breese to be ejected.

Breese was pronounced dead on the scene of the crash. Speed may be a contributing factor in this crash, according to the NHP.

The crash, which happened at around 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, shut down the right lane of US-50 for more than 90 minutes.

Trooper Doug Hildebrand of the Nevada Highway Patrol’s Multi-disciplinary Investigation and Reconstruction Team (M.I.R.T.) is investigating this crash.
